Taylor Shie

IPC 2026 Conference Chair

Taylor Shie is employed by Shell in their Hydrogen group within the Project and Technology organization. He has almost 20 years of experience in pipeline integrity management with a variety of focus areas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

He began his career with DNV in Columbus, OH where he developed expertise related to fracture mechanics, stress corrosion cracking, in-line inspection tool validation, root cause analysis, and risk management. During this time, he also got involved with various ASME pipeline related activities. In 2021, he was nominated and elected as an ASME Fellow and in 2022 he served as the Technical Committee Chair for the International Pipeline Conference. In 2013, he moved to Houston, TX and began working for Shell. At Shell he development expertise related to coatings, corrosion, crack management, hydrotesting, facility integrity, and now hydrogen. While at Shell he started supporting activities related to PRCI. He is currently the Chair of the Crack Management Strategic Research Priority and an active participant within the Emerging Fuels Institute as the voting member for Shell. He was a recipient of the 2023 PRCI Distinguished Service Award.

Jennifer Klementis

IPC 2026 Conference Vice Chair

Jennifer Klementis is an accomplished professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in pipeline and facility integrity, risk management, research and industry engagement. She has a proven track record of driving effective partnerships, continuous improvement, and the development of new technologies to enhance industry safety and sustainability.

Jennifer has held various leadership and senior engineering roles, where she implemented strategic R&D initiatives, managed technical engineering programs, and spearheaded process improvements. Her extensive industry involvement includes participation in key organizations such as ASME, CSA, PRCI, NACE/AMPP, CEPA, API, and Pipeline Safety Group (UK).  Jennifer has been engaged with ASME since she was a student at the University of Calgary; coordinating U of C student participation at US ASME sponsored events.  Through her professional career Jennifer continued to be active in key ASME events most notably she has been engaged in the ASME International Pipeline Conference.

In 2024, Jennifer proudly held the role of Technical Committee Chair facilitating the technical peer review process of over 400 technical papers.  Jennifer holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a dedicated member of APEGA.

Joe Paviglianiti, BSc. P.Eng

IPC 2026 Past Chair

Mr. Paviglianiti is an Engineering Technical Leader at the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) in Calgary, Canada with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He started his career in pipeline and facility construction and for the past 26 years has worked for the CER. Joe's responsibilities at the CER have included incident investigation, auditing and reviewing integrity management programs and fitness for service assessments. Joe is the past chairman of the Canadian oil and gas standard CSA Z662 Technical Committee and still participates as a voting member. He is also the Canadian representative on the ISO TC67/SC 2 committee. Joe is actively involved in ASME and is a past Chairman of the Pipeline Systems Division (PSD). For over 20 years, Joe has been an active participant on the IPC organizing committee.
